Family Bee Day

I was invited to the launching of Happy Plus Card Launching in Ayala last week and I know I should have posted about it soon enough but as you know I work as well. No more excuses, here's my post on the successful first ever Jollibee Family Bee Day!

Jollibee has been a Filipino family staple. Jollibee has seen families reunited, friends catching up and even couples rekindling their firsts together. It's no wonder that Jollibee is now included in just about any day of every Filipino families life. Nothing can ever be as sweet as a Spaghetti. The leading fast food chain aims to conduct the biggest picnic ever in the Philippines with the event Family Bee Day. Thousands of families converged in five different venues across the country and enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with prizes to be given away from their raffle.

Held simultaneously at the Quirino Grandstand in Metro Manila, Bayanihan Park in Pampanga, Nuval football grounds in Laguna, Plaza Independencia in Cebu and Crocodile Park in Davao, the event was highlighted by performances from topnotch celebrity guests, live bands, side attractions and overflowing Jollibee treats.

"We are very excited to mount an event of this magnitude that celebrates the Filipino's love for bonding over good food. We are very happy with the turnout and pleased to see everyone enjoying the company of other people whom they treat like family. Talagang dito sa Jollibee, ang sarap maging pamilya," said Jollibee vice president for Marketing Harvey Ong.

Sponge Cola rocking the afternoon.
I was so glad I came and met with my fellow foodie, JM of My Tasteful Life who by the way won a limited edition Swatch Watch!

We had the chance to interview Visayas Regional Marketing Manager Nelson Judaya. He confessed that this successful event could not have been made possible without the help of everyone's efforts and with months of planning lead to this momentous day.

All five cities get to experience the fun namely: Manila, Laguna, Pampanga, Davao and here in Cebu! I was totally enjoying the event with food from the booth and the entertainment on the stage. When the mascots came out the kids went crazy and the teens went gaga over Sponge Cola and Gerald Anderson. The weather was really cooperative and the party did not stop well until 5PM.

Here are a few highlights of the day:

Prizes were given away and the lucky winners of a trip for 2 to Singapore's Resorts World have been announced. It has been a success!
