Brocks Burger Dasma

Everyone is raving about the latest patty in the griddle. Yes, pun totally intended. Opened late last month, this joint is making a name for itself. A popular after school tryst with locals and students it is not a wonder why they are usually sold out after the tide of students have gobbled down the last fries. I have been trying to find the best burger place in town, heading to Brocks took a few weeks until fruition.

I feel like I get to know a place better if I check out the local food scene. The journey to the place were arduous. Trusting their Facebook Page that it was located at the Gate 4 of La Salle. Asking jeepney drivers and some locals, we found out that DLSU-Dasma only has 3 gates! This is a pain for the non-locals like myself because we always trust what is written online. As it turns out Gate 4 is like a computer cafe of sorts.

Tip: Ask or find Pamz Dormitory, it's hard to miss! It's the green colored building and right next to it is Brocks. :)
Throng of students filled most of the establishment. This is where the ventilation helps for people to stay. Under the heat of the sun, I was rather impatient. I needed a seat and I needed my burger. Found a table and called dibs. I realized that most tables were for groups of 4 to 6 people. I love how establishments provide seats for 1 and 2. I believe they only have 12 tables, I think.

On the upside, kudos to keeping it sanitary! The staff who works on an open kitchen works with a disposable gloves on. I also liked how they have an assigned person on the line: one takes care of the cooking, the other composes the burger and another comes in to serve it. Small details like these matter the most for me.

The menu consisted of band names as the owner loves local music. We ordered the Yano at Php110 which consisted of Gardenia burger bun, beef patty, cheese whiz. I opted for the Rivermaya at Php130 would have been better without the ham. The meal comes with unlimited drinks and some fries. We enjoyed the drinks too much that we had 4 refills.
We loved the fries so much that I wanted extra. The wait time was very long that when the fries came by, it was already soggy. Additional fries costs Php50. Tip: Try to order everything in one go.
Tip: To avoid getting lost like we did, stop by the RMS RA Copy Center which is across the main road. Head down the alley way and turn right on the second street. You know when you're there when you see a green colored building, that would be Pamz Dormitory.

Overall, I thought the patty lacked a some seasoning. A perfect burger for me includes some herbs and spices to the mix, a bit of charcoal taste and definitely not stove top cooked. You get your money's worth with their servings and the unlimited drinks truly makes up for us getting lost. A budget friendly place to satisfy your burger craving. Its not a wonder why college students swarm over here.
