I previously posted my not so enchanted experience at Il Mee when I accidentally deleted the post. Sorry about that. Let me try to salvage what I could remember.
I needed some fix for the tiring week that passed. As we were waiting for the staff to prepare the meals, we were visited by a rather small roach. And I hate roaches of all shapes, colors and forms. The staff took care of it by swatting it with her slippers. So that was for me, strike 1.
On the table from the left: bean paste, kimchi, sauteed mussels, egg cake, sauteed eggplant and a plate full of cabbage and garlic slices.
Note: Side dishes are not unlimited. They only provide two rounds of side dish and nothing more. Yes, this made me miss Yum Yum Baboy even more.
We opted for the plain samgyupsal no frills and fuzz. Just wanted to answer to the craving.I would like to commend the Miso Soup which is really good. Best one I have had so far.
So as we were waiting for the portable stove to be arranged, strike 2 came. Hello there, a small critter got off the stove as the staff laid it on our table. Yes, strike two for the roach kind. The staff, embarrassed as she was tried to remove the thing. I was this close to walking out. But, I stayed with the thought that this is going in my blog. Hence the long wait for posting this. Mind you, this blog entry has been sitting on my drafts for months.
Don't get me wrong, it did the job just fine. They should re-evaluate their equipment and ensure things are clean.
Will not come back. Ever.
