Journey to the Past: Jose R. Gullas Halad Museum

This is one of my favorite visits during the Gabii sa Kabilin tour. A musically-themed museum that pays homage to Cebu and it's musical heritage. Inaugurated on January 12, 2010 and was finally open for public viewing by February 2, 2010.
I love the UV Chorale! ♥
Halad means offering in the local language, quite fitting for the place is dedicated to the founder's parents; Don Vicente and Inday Pining Gullas. Both of which founded the University of the Visayas in Cebu. This houses a collection of memorabilias of Cebuano composers and artists in the 20th century from ancient musical instruments, sheets and of course long-playing records.

And here is a snippet of a working phonograph.
