How to Get SSS UMID

What ID do you use for everything? Personally, I use my UMID. I have the same ID when I opened bank accounts, proof of identification, and ironically we need an ID for getting another ID. I also love that it's portable, sturdy, and the perfect size for your wallet comparable to a passport that's too sensitive and rather bulky. It does not have any expiration and getting it is absolutely free.

I have had my UMID for a long time and have had to move to different addresses and it has served me very well. 

Sharing with you simple steps on how to set an appointment for UMID:

1. Login to your SSS account https://member.sss.gov.ph/members/ and hover your mouse on the Member Info >  Appointment System

2. A pop-up window will open, select Application for Unified Multi-purpose Identification (UMID) Card

3. Select Region > Branch and Appointment Date

4. Review your preferred schedule, and location and type in your concern then hit on Submit Schedule.

5. Once submitted, you will get a confirmation on the email address reviewing the details of your appointment.

6. All you need to do is wait for our schedule and complete the additional steps on your selected SSS branch. 

A few notes:

• Wear a collared shirt.
• Bring your own pen.
• Come in early from your scheduled time.
• You will be notified when you can claim the ID through SMS.
