How to Pay DFA Passport Renewal or Application with GCash

I have been a GCash user since I signed up for a postpaid account. It's been like almost 10 years now and I have never had any issues with it. I use GCash for all of my transactions - all my bills at home Meralco, Globe Wifi, Globe Postpaid and even our new water bill with Primewater.

I use it for a lot of things too - paying groceries, buying coffee, buying medicine getting fast food and even paying my friends if I do not have any cash with me. I rely on virtual payment daily that I would prefer this mode of payment instead of using cash. I get very excited wh

I was in the process of setting an appointment with my Passport Renewal and was happy that Gcash supports payments for DFA.

Here is a simple guide on how to get your appointment payments with Gcash.

1. Secure you have enough balance to settle your passport renewal/application. Regular processing is Php950 + Php50 processing fee while Express processing is at Php1200 + Php50 processing fee.

Login to your GCash account.

2. Click Pay Bills and look for Government.

3. On the next screen, you can see all government offices that accept GGcash as payments like BIR, NBI, PAG-IBIG, and SSS! No need to slave yourselves with those long lines at government offices and even in banks.

Click DFA to proceed to the payment form.

4. Be ready with your Appointment Details on the next screen. You can get these from your DFA Payment Reference email. You can use the copy and paste feature on your phone to avoid any errors.

5. Once you fill out all the details and complete the request. You will get a confirmation e-mail from GCash with your transaction number. Payment will be completed and within seconds you will get a copy of your Confirmation Notification from DFA.

And you are done! Complete all the next few steps and you will get your passport in no time. Check this link for the step by step guide on getting applying or renewing your passport.
