Taking Gifting to the Next Level

Christmas is barely a month away and I am utterly ambivalent with how to feel. I am still on the fight or flight mode after my movement from Cebu to Cavite. I have had some few bumps at work and barely had enough time for myself to really plan out my Christmas this year.

Last year, I made goody bags for my team. Spent barely Php100 to get those small loot bags and, yarn and a single hole puncher for the gift tags. I filled the bags with candies and chocolates and a small envelope with a SM movie card. The look on my agents were priceless. This is why I love to give gifts and most specially if they least expect it.

This year, I plan to make this year better amidst the fact that I will once again spend my holidays at work. I want so many things for myself and my family and narrowed them down to one each.

Myself

I am ever so grateful for landing a good job at the least expected location. Yes, I had to uproot again but it was all worth it. I also had to make huge career moves to finally start living the life I wanted when I decide to retire. I would be a hypocrite to say that I do not want anything for Christmas. But I do and it has not changed since last year. What I want is a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I would like to get one to finally start to get my baking business here in Cavite. This investment will allow us to use our energy in packing our baked goods rather than whisk each batter with blood and sweat.

My Family

I have been working for almost five years now and I could still not afford to get my parents their own health insurance. This one is on the works right now and I couldn't be any proud of myself for finally giving back to them. My parents have been working so hard and it's about time that I return the favor. My mom has been in and out of hospitals for routine check ups and my dad needs to get his teeth worked on.

The Community

Each year, I make it a point to donate either my time or the extra things I own to those that need them. We used to have the donation drive we aptly called Yule Give way back in 2011

This year, I am still currently looking for a place to donate clothes too. If not, I will then spend a few minutes of my time to donate blood at De LaSalle Medical Center.

Want to give back but don't know where to start? Check out the SM Cares Bears of Joy Campaign! For just Php200 you get to keep one bear and donate the other to children from various orphanages and charitable institutions through the SM Cares Program.
