I love invites to blog events and this was one of the best ones I have attended so far! Somehow it still surprises me that I get invitations to exclusive events. Haha! Thanks for them connections! :)

I still watch in awe as Tony Bourdain grabs that fresh taco from a mobile taqueria or how he wanted to have more Salty Pimps from that Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. I wished that one of these days, I would get my share of Jamba Juice off their Fender Blender. Ahhh~ A girl can only dream!

Food trucks has been around for years and this would be a first here in the Queen City of the South - Cebu to get their share of this rolling kitchen. Sir John Dytian, the head of Creative Cuisine Gourmet Group, “We wanted to let Cebu finally experience this phenomenon that has been around in the US for a long time now. A food truck really brings people together in the streets. It develops a sense of community”, said Dytian.

They are the same group that brought you Kaffee Alde, Big Mao and Chikaan. I was able to talk to the business daddy himself about how this yellow giant came to be. They have been planning this out for a long time and they were just waiting for the food truck to be delivered straight from the US. Pimped up with quality kitchen equipment. They also have a mobile generator to keep the power going with the use of fuel. Did you know that food trucks have an interior water reservior? Now you know, they have enough to last them the whole night.

Check out their menu. Simple and straight up delectable. :)

The next question was, where do they park? At the moment, they are located in Salinas Drive across Golden Courie. They are still on the process for a special permit from LTO. Food trucks are expected to roam around the area and soon this will come to fruition. You can catch them there daily.

You can expect Chef Derek Dytian to man the food preparation as seen here on the photo. Saw him as well during their brief stay in Cebu IT Park. Quality is their utmost priority and kudos to the team for delivering this 100%.

I met fellow bloggers: the mythical Doyzkie of iLuvCebu, Marco of Lami Kaayo - Winner of the Best Cebu Food Blog 2013, fashion forward sisters Jem of Cupcakes and Choices and Kristine of The StyleCebu. This was the first time I truly interacted with other bloggers as I am usually on the sidelines. Doyzkie decided to get one of each from the menu that way we can all have our fill.

Japadog (the one with black nori strips),  Chilidog, Big Daddy dog and Bigdaddy Fries

Italian Sliders made with grilled pork patties. Seasoned Italian-style and topped with cabbage slaw. I loved this one better than the bigger burgers. I mean, don't get me wrong I love burgers however this one was oddly satisfying on it's own. I recommend this to anyone who is unsure what to get and those who are just out for a cheat day and don't want to feel guilty after. Best shared as well or not if you're like me. ;)

Tokyo Sun Burger is by far an instant favorite for me. This sesame-dressed slaw, nori seaweed egg and teriyaki sauce combines East and West. See what I did there? Haha.

The Japadog is the hotdog version of the Tokyo Sun Burger which as you may know is a favorite again. Hotdogs come in two varieties: Andouille which is basically a smoked sausage made from pork innards and the Italian which is made with pork with fennel seasoning and could be sweet and hot in flavor. I liked the former better than the latter.

The Bigdaddy Fries an instant hit. It is a reminiscent of PikNik those shoestring fries we all loved back then. I prefer my fries this way, it lessens the chance of it getting soggy and way too oily. I think I had 3 servings of these. Not sorry.

I tried their Peanut Butter Milkshake and my god was it ever smooth, tasty and absolutely refreshing. Please note that I am never a fan of peanut butter and that the only things I love eating with PB on it is Reese's Pieces and Buttefinger.

The Fried Oreos were fried. I wished it was not too oily. Maybe mine sat far too long on the pass before reaching my table. I wanted to try the Leche fritos and I guess Mustachio got the last one. :(

Twist cap root beer cold as ice. Ready to quench your thirst. No need for bottle openers, one less thing to worry about when you are busy devouring burgers. They also serve water, Sola and soda.
