Journey to the Past: Basilica del Santo Niño

After our stop at my favorite Metropolitan Cathedral, we headed out to the Basilica del Santo Niño. Munching on the snickers bar and filling our tummies with water we made it there. My companion was utterly excited for she has always wanted to visit the museum here. Aparently, it was not open. When we got there, you  only get to see a live demonstration of uniformed men. I failed to ask what branch of the military they were.

There were rafts, a tent and a few items for battle on the ground.

The Basilica showcases the history of Chirstianity in Cebu. Antique objects are on display, including century-old furniture, some vestments and old cloaks which were donated by individuals over the centuries. Some religious statues and relics are displayed.

  1. Hmmm...I wonder why their museum was closed? Is it under renovation or something?
