I finally had my Japanese craving fixed! We went to Tempura Japanese Grill in SM Northwing. Boy, was it worth the wait! :) The last time I have had my share of this was way back 2 years ago with a close friend of mine from way back in High School. We had Ebi Tempura then which was truly great!
We visited the place at around 7:00 PM. I had to remind myself that I couldn't stay long for my shift starts by 8:00PM. I also hate having to eat in a rush. So I decided to have Chahan, a 4-piece California Maki and a big serving of Yakisoba! :)
They didn't have fruit shakes then so we opted to get Iced Tea and a canned soda for me. What I love about the place is that it is truly spacious. You have enough space to move about. If you do smoke, you can choose alfresco dining at the back. The place holds at about 50-70 guests. The waitstaff were pleasant and easy to approach too. They didn't judge me when I asked for a spoon. :P
They served the California Maki after 5 minutes from ordering. Wow! Were they fast! Did they know I was in a hurry? I reckon I'd still make it in time for work. I took about 5 minutes oggling at how splendid the maki was. It was made of fairy dust and unicorn tears. Kidding of course! Look at it! :O
Did I failed to mention that this is only Php90? Yes! It was that affordable! Had I known, I would be a mayor here in Foursquare and an expert at Japanese Food in Foodspotting eons ago! :P
Yes, you need to realize how awesome this is. Hence, the close up shot!
A great treat at Php175. Good for two or one hungry person! :P |
Yakisoba was flavorful! It was not of the salty noodles type others serve. It had this sweet Oriental taste to it! What made me go ooh and ahhh was the crunchy vegetable slices. I also had a treat that they mixed in a few squid slices and a few pieces of small shrimps! The serving is good for two and only if you are willing to share. Or you can go solo if you are really that hungry. I would accept that as an excuse. I promise! ;)
Gomoku Chahan is at Php70. A small bowl packed with flavor!
Don't let the size fool you. This petite serving delivers flavors straight from the Orient! Chahan is stir fried rice mixed with eggs, vegetables and meat. Chahan Gomoku/Gomoku Chahan is already seasoned. The rice mix had small pieces of shrimps and squid! Woot woot! I love seafoods by the way, in case you didn't notice that yet. So it was a real treat for me! And knowing my companion is allergic, I had all creatures from the sea in my bowl! Ahahaha :D
After what seemed like 20 minutes of filling our mouths with these delectable dishes we were full! ~Burp
