when he should be playing

it  was a boring weekday afternoon....
when  the usual pesky kids in our neighborhood would pester our turkeys...
i was actually busy sweeping the darn leaves...

and was listening to the radio as i placed it in speakerphone and left it safely at a branch near the spot where i was sweeping as of the moment...

i saw this kid as i was wiping my sweaty forehead...

he seemed at about 7 years old or maybe 9...

he was carrying a "bulig" of banana around and shouting...
at his age he should be playing along with his sisters than doing the rounds to get the banana sold...

he walked around the street and drifted to the shores...

i followed him around in my un-sleuth manner...

and waited for a moment to snap a picture of him using my reliable n3230..

and i did...the lighting was great...

the sun was about to set and i reckon his gonna walk on for  miles and more miles until the banana get sold...

i feel a bit happy and sad at the same time...
happy since for i know that he will grow up tpo be a very  hardworking person someday..
saddened for the fact that he should be playing at this time with his friends or be at his neighbor and see the recent anime reruns...

as i looked at the setting sun with my walis ting-ting in tow...

i smiled and thank god that today is a good day...
 or play, for walking...

and even for sweeping leaves at the backyard...
